10 Min Morning Workout!

So anyone who really knows me knows that I am NOT a morning person. I mean like NOT AT ALL! I am the 9:20/ 9:30 get to work kind of girl. Except for when I'm on vacation and I am up at 8 am ready to lay by the pool or on the beach with a drink or I'm at Carnival; I mean how do people party all night and are ready to fete and drink at 8 am everyday?! BTW Carnival is EVERYTHING! #CROPOVER2017 IN BARBADOS. But I digress... so as a challenge to myself I am going to try doing a quick workout each morning to start my day off right. Working out in the morning is proven to have major health benefits both mental and physical. Here are some I have experienced and hopefully you will too!

  1. Decreased Stress Levels

  2. Increased Energy

  3. More Focused

  4. Better Sleep

  5. Enhanced Metabolism : Excess Post - Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) Basically means your body continues to burn calories for HOURS after working out! 

All in all the more you workout specifically in the morning, your body releases endorphins (our bodies natural 'feel good' chemical) that help reduce stress which leads to a better day overall. 

Here are a 10 minute morning workouts to help get your heart pumping ❤️ and your blood flowing. It's super simple and quick so try it with me! Now if I can actually get out of the bed 10 min early. :) 

10 JUMPING JACKS

10 PUSH-UPS

10 FULL SIT-UPS OR CRUNCHES

10 SQUATS

10 LUNGES PER LEG

Don't forget to stretch before and after!
