Workout of the Week: The Cool Down

This weeks #FFWOTW we are focusing on stretching. This is so important to do and do properly. I prefer yoga and Pilates type stretches because I really feel the deep stretch needed for my body. Whatever you prefer, makes sure you strength for at least 3-5 min pre and post workout. Your body will certainly thank you later lol Trust me! 💪🏽

Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a high range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you engage your muscles when exercising, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.

So let's make sure we are stretching every time we workout!
